When doing science, it's often very helpful to know the exact numbers
associated with an area of an image, a single data element, or the like.
WebWinds has a bunch of helpful ways to get this information. One way is
to use Track Pixel. If you need numerical
information about a localized area, drop Image into Value View. The data
element under the crosshair will be shaded red. Data elements within a
bounding box will be shaded blue. Value View
will track the crosshair for you as well.Value

Sliders
The top slider moves horizontally through the data set. The right slider
moves vertically.
Applications to Connect to This Application
Image, Average,
Combine,
or Compare may be connected via the "drag 'n
drop" button to this application.
Anything with a bounding box. All data within the bounding box will
be highlighted.
Anything with a crosshair is useful, too; ValueView will put the pixel
to which the crosshair points at the center of the display.
Scat2D's bounding box will highlight data
elements appropriately.
Sliders control which slice is displayed.

Tricks and Gotchas
The numbers displayed might not be exactly the same as the original data
in floating point data sets. If the data was originally byte data, however,
it'll be precise.
