Tolerance Factors and Non-Central T Distribution Computer Program

TF, the Tolerance Factors and Non-Central T Distribution computer program, computes the tolerance factor from a normal distribution sample for an arbitrarily specified coverage probability, confidence level, and any positive (integer or non-integer) degrees of freedom. The program has been used extensively in engineering and quality analyses.
TF is menu-driven and has four calculation routines:
- one-sided tolerance factor calculation;
- two-sided tolerance factor calculation;
- non-central t probability calculation; and
- non-central t percentage point calculation.
The unique approach to the non-central t routines is very computationally efficient. The use of the program compares favorably with standard reference tables in terms of convenience, flexibility and accuracy of results.
TF carries the NASA case number MFS-29839. It was originally released as part of the COSMIC collection.
