TMAJ is a set of software tools to manage Tissue MicroArray information. TMAJ allows the storage of a wide variety of information related to TMA samples, including: patient clinical data, specimens, donor blocks, core, and recipient block information. A dynamic database structure allows users to add custom fields for different organ systems. Built-in security allows users to separate their data. HIPAA regulations are addressed by providing additional security for the patients and specimens table. TMAJ is presently implemented at The Johns Hopkins TMA Laboratory, and is being made available as free, open-source software for academic use.
